quick sketch : Misfit Toys Uprising

Just thought I post this doodle sketch. I was thinking about some emails that went around last year among the ol' gang, where the subject of the toys and the elves going against Santa was discussed in great detail. Santa came off as a complete jerk in the Rudolph special.
I think Guy and myself went a little further, suggesting that the elves have some sort of revolution. I can't remember all of it but it made me laugh as I was holiday shopping today. Plus I think it would be a great addition to the Raging Rudolph film that Mad Tv had a few years ago .

So this is Charlie in the Box in mid-speech. Just before he storms King Moonraker--I mean King Moonracer's castle.

maybe they'll be more to come.

worth checking out

"I'm Alan Partridge"
A friend of mine at work lent this dvd to me. If it's available on Netflix, rent it because it's very funny. I found out that this character's been around on the BBC tv for about 10 years. Actor Steve Coogan created him on a comedy show, and he kept coming back in other series. "Alan Partridge" is kind of like a 3rd rate Marv Albert type of sportscaster/ talk show host with a voice similar to Robin Leach. Poor Alan is such a loveable jackass. Alan knows he's a loser but he'll go down fighting. That's why I like him more than the Office folks.
The series that I watched features Alan working at a radio station [the wee morning hours]. He lost his talk show job --because he shot and killed someone on his show. So now Alan is struggling as a radio dj and living in a hotel while trying to get the BBC to give him a series. He always walks around with a tape recorder. Recording show idea pitches. "Yacht Mishaps. Some funny. Some tragic"

Also Simon Pegg makes a guest appearance [ he's everywhere] in one of the shows.

Warning if you do rent it: The dvd menu is quiet a surprise. It's a menu of an adult movie. The movie "Bangkok Ladyboys" which a joke in the series--it was on Alan's hotel room cable bill and he argued he only 'watched five minutes' because he didn't know what it was
Since I got this from my male friend I thought he left in his adult movie by accident.
