The actual day of Halloween was low key. Avoided trick or treaters.
Halloween tip to older kids [ teenagers] who ask for candy. If you're not embarrassed to ask for candy, then you should have a costume. Grown ups buy the candy and kids have to work for the goodies by dressing up. That's the rule.
One year some teenagers showed up at my door asking for candy--no costumes, not even face paint makeup. That's not really trick or treating, it's not earning your Snickers--it's just begging. Punks.


Health tip of the day: Cut out soda and stick to water. Not even the fruit flavored water. For me- by sticking to just Aquafina and cutting out the soda drinking, I lost five pounds.

my nephew is ranked #2 in the American Collegiate Hockey Association for goal tending. Congrats!

you know you're getting old when you open up an M&M candy packet and go, "When did this color come out?"
