Precious and Few

That's the end theme song I picked for the upcoming all star cast, big disaster extravganza flick "The Big One: Earthquake '05".

See, I told my family that I was fine after they heard about the quakes last week. I had been in the office when the 4.9 hit and my bldg. pretty much rolled like a weeble wobble. I sit next to a window on the third floor and all I could think of at the time, was that if it was any worse, I'd definatetly go right out the window.
This bit of information resulted in an email from my big sister offering to sing a hopeful cheesy song like they did in the '70's disaster blockbusters [ Earthquake, Towering Inferno -my personal favorite]
---by the way, gotta love how concern in my family quickly turns into a comedy bit. bless her---

I got a phone call from big sister last Friday. She started off by singing "There's got to be a morning after..."

So if the Big One hits, and I'm in a Towering Inferno type building, I think my part will be Party Guest #8. You know, the first batch of unlucky ones that go when the Big One strikes. No hanging out with William Holden waiting to be rescued by Steve McQueen. I'll be gone before the audiences finish off their bags of popcorn. I say wait for the video.

So in the back of my mind this weekend was to search for my 'everybody's dead ' cheesy theme song.Because you know, it's important. Like bills, grocery lists, the war, and an 'everybody's dead' theme song.
I found Precious and Few by Climax, a one hit wonder band.[I'm not surprised] My god, the song is da cheese.

Finally

Yay, I finally started one.

Great.

I can't think of anything to say now.

Edited to add--yes, I thought of something to say. Last night I had dinner at The Stinking Rose restaurant, where everything on the menu has garlic in it. Even the ice cream.
The food was fine but that drink I ordered was not. It was a mojito. It has rum, mint, lime and soda--plus strawberry. Because I ordered the strawberry mojiot.
I don't know , I exected something tropical, something margarita-ish.
What I got--looked like they went into a nearby pond and scooped some water out. Put in a slice of lime and then gave me the bill.
Urgh.
