puppet karaoke [at the party]

it was a success. but now I'm feeling blaaaahh. a lot of my energy was spent on making the puppets then performing several songs with the things. not to mention dancing and carrying on--the goal:making sure everyone was in a good mood.

i wasn't sure it was going to work.i had the equivalent of stage fright right before the party. i did a test--sang a song w/ a puppet. i could hear devo laughing his head off --then i thought 'hey this might work after all'

best performances go to devo & josh. they sang 'hit the road jack' ---discovered a new talent with those two

runner up--shelly with her memorable performances in the 'copacobana' song. as lola & tony [ she lost her loooove...don't fall in loooovee]
i played 'rico, who wore a diamond'

best costumes--dave & dierdre as eddie munster & wednesday addams

runner up --johnny g as napoleon dynamite. not much of a stretch ;)

potpourri

Memorable quotes from my office friends.

" I wish the Apocalypse would hurry up and get here already so I can get on with my life.
Or not , as the case may be."-----T.
(On the subject of The End of the World)

"But that wouldn't make me a nerd. That would just make me a moron."---B.
( discussing the many levels or nerdom, and what makes one a nerd.--and there are many, many, many levels )

"Good Morning"--me
"Let's not jump to conclusions."--S.
(Typical morning conversation)

"Ya know, we could do a sitcom. I want to be the wacky neighbor, or landlord, or the friend sidekick who hangs around a lot for no good reason "--me
" The Crappersons! Right after Joey on NBC!" --A.
(Re: bland sitcoms on tv these days)

ah, good times.
