movies on cable!
Just some thoughts on some movies that I happened to catch...
V for Vendetta:
I could not get into this. It's been repeated several times on FX and I've tried watching it because it has a really great British cast that rivals the Harry Potter cast films but I guess I am too juvenile to accept the idea of the hero beating bad guys with that mask. I started giggling the minute he interacted with Natalie Portman. I also had a hard time with Natalie's performance. She's really pushing that accent. I kept wondering what background did she have? At times she sounded like she was straight our of a Jane Austen flick then later switches it to Dick Van Dyke from Mary Poppins. "'Ello Mawwree Poppinz!"
I wondered why didn't the producers just hire an English actress and save their money on dialect trainers?
Cabin Fever:
I have to say I really enjoyed this one. It came close to Sam Raimi's Evil Dead [I&II] in the category of stupid horror comedy. It made me want to hurl, with scenes of victims coughing and spurting up diseased blood on each other. ICK.
And I loved all the creepy mountain town folk. Recommended for a Halloween movie night.

Blast from the Past
I knew that one day Peter Puck would come back. When I was a wee Keegs, I used to watch the Flyers game with my family just so I could catch the Peter Puck cartoons.
